CashCam

Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026

CashCam helps you scan spaces, identify potentially sellable items, estimate second-hand value, prepare marketplace listings, and manage selling work. This policy explains what information CashCam processes and the choices available to you.

Information CashCam processes

Account and identity

CashCam creates an anonymous account identifier so you can scan before creating an account. If you choose Protect Your Purchases, Sign in with Apple is linked to that same CashCam identity. CashCam receives the identity token and Apple account identifier needed to complete the link; Apple may share an email address according to your Apple choices.

Scans, items, and selling content

CashCam processes the selected still frames from a scan—not a saved room video—along with scan type, capture order, detected items, evidence locations in the image, estimated values, confidence information, clarification answers, user notes, listing titles and descriptions, condition, item details, selected urgency, and My Items status. When you add a close-up, label photo, or specification screenshot, that evidence is processed with the item it supports.

Marketplace information

CashCam stores marketplace preparation and publication status, relevant listing identifiers and URLs, item photos, and the seller preferences you provide, such as ZIP code, shipping or pickup choice, handling time, and returns preference. If you connect eBay, CashCam stores the connection status and encrypted eBay access and refresh tokens on its server. CashCam does not place eBay credentials in the iPhone app. Facebook Marketplace preparation remains an assisted handoff; CashCam does not store your Facebook password or publish without your confirmation.

Sales Assistant

CashCam processes your Sales Assistant messages, recent conversation context, compact conversation summaries, selected item or listing context, and saved recommendations. Context is limited to your own CashCam items and selling activity. CashCam does not create real marketplace views, watchers, offers, buyer messages, or sales activity that you did not provide.

Purchases and access

CashCam processes App Store product identifiers, transaction and original transaction identifiers, purchase environment, purchase, expiration and revocation dates, app account token, entitlement status, unused successful-scan spaces, monthly allowance use, and purchase-protection status. Apple handles payment details; CashCam does not receive your full card information.

Technical information

CashCam and its infrastructure may process limited service logs such as timestamps, authenticated account identifier, request status, safe error stage, storage path ownership, rate-limit events, and security signals. Production interfaces do not expose raw internal diagnostics.

How information is used

Service providers and data sharing

CashCam uses Supabase for authentication, database, private file storage, and server functions; Google Gemini for AI-assisted visual analysis, valuation support, listing generation, and controlled Sales Assistant responses; Apple for StoreKit, App Store services, and optional Sign in with Apple; and eBay when you connect or publish through eBay. Facebook receives information only when you choose to copy, share, export, or open the prepared Facebook Marketplace package. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

CashCam does not sell personal information and does not use advertising trackers on this website.

Image storage and retention

Only accepted scan frames are compressed and uploaded to private storage. Rejected camera buffers are not persisted. Ordinary uploaded scan frames are removed after analysis where the workflow permits; temporary analysis, evaluation, or marketplace image artifacts have limited retention and cleanup schedules. Paid scan results, My Items, listings, clarification answers, marketplace records, and assistant history may remain until you delete them or the account. Security logs and provider records may remain for a limited operational period.

Deletion choices

Delete Scan & Selling Data removes scans, detected items, My Items, listings, snapshots, marketplace preparation and publication state, Sales Assistant conversations and item context, and related private images from CashCam and the device. It preserves account identity, purchases and balances, subscription status, eBay connection, and saved eBay selling preferences.

Delete CashCam Account removes the CashCam/Supabase account, linked Apple identity, scans, items, listings, assistant conversations, marketplace records, seller preferences, eBay connections and encrypted tokens, private media, local files, caches, sessions, and device identity. CashCam may retain irreversible fingerprints of App Store transaction identifiers, product type, environment, and deletion time to prevent duplicate entitlement grants, address fraud, and maintain purchase integrity. Apple purchase history cannot be erased by CashCam. Account deletion does not cancel CashCam Pro through Apple.

See Data Deletion for step-by-step instructions.

Security

CashCam uses authenticated ownership checks, row-level access controls, private storage, server-side secrets, encrypted marketplace tokens, structured response validation, rate limits, and bounded AI context. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and marketplace accounts, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.

International processing

CashCam is initially designed around US resale pricing, but its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Data-protection laws in those places may differ from those where you live.

Children

CashCam is not directed to children under 13. Marketplace selling and purchases may be subject to higher age requirements from Apple, eBay, Facebook, or local law. Do not use CashCam to list an item if you are not legally permitted to sell it.

Policy updates

CashCam may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above will change when updates are published.
